While not the highest point in the school, the Owlery another location for students to catch a view of the grounds. Bear in mind, the Owlery is home to all the students' owls plus a few that the school owns, so it is not the most sanitary and inviting place to convene at. Do not be fooled by the clean stairs leading up to the tower as the room itself is not maintained to the same standard. It is important to note that, during the winter, the stairs are not very safe, so please climb with caution.

The Owlery is a circular stone tower with ledges for the owls to rest and call their humble abode. The windows are... not exactly windows, but rather gaps in the walls to allow for owls to travel in and out of the tower. Unfortunately, this does mean that the Owlery gets rather cold and wet. The droppings left by owls as a natural part of their bodily functions and skeletons of mice and vole only worsen the mess that has been hastily covered by hay and straw.

At least you can come up and enjoy the view of the school from up here without worrying over trespassing.
